International Women's Day

International Women’s Day is on 8 March 2024, our theme is “Investing in Women: Accelerating Progress”. Learn why investing in women and girls is not only the right thing to do, it’s critical to building a more prosperous and equitable world. Learn about 5 key areas where investment is critical to achieving gender equality.

Every year on March 8, we celebrate International Women’s Day (IWD), a day dedicated to understanding race, economics, and women’s culture and policy. But the purpose of IWD is not to celebrate the past; He also called for action to promote gender equality. This year’s theme, “Investing in Women: A Sustainable Development”, highlights the critical role of investment in empowering women and girls to realize their potential.

Investing in women is not just moral; This leaves a good impression. Research consistently shows that investing in women’s education, health and economic empowerment can provide many benefits not only to women, but to their families, communities and countries as a whole. When women are strong, they can participate more in business life, contribute to the economy, support healthy families and good education.

Education: Investing in Girls’ Education is one of them. The best ways to break the cycle of poverty and inequality. Female students are more likely to be healthy, participate in the labor market, and make a positive impact on their families and communities.
Health: Investing in women’s health, including sexuality and access to healthcare, is critical to improving their overall health and enabling them to reach their full potential.
Economic Empowerment: Equipping women with money, education and leadership to help them become more involved in the economy, improve their health and contribute to sustainable development. Targeting women and girls is essential to creating a safe and fair world for all.
Women’s Leadership: Investing in women’s leadership development and participation in decision-making processes to ensure that their voices are heard and their needs are taken into account, relationships are established and shared.
By investing in women in these key areas, we can create positive effects of change and make progress towards a more equitable and hopeful future. This year, let’s embrace the IWD theme and pledge to invest in women – not just on March 8, but every day.
